Perhaps the rare public display of affection was Kelly's way of staking a claim to her territory - the rugby star was recently rumoured to be the object of another model's affections.

While the TV presenter was on stage in Calendar Girls in the West End last week, Noemie Lenoir, the body of Marks & Spencer lingerie, made a beeline for Danny, 22, according to sources at the British Fashion Awards.

‘Noemie was sitting with (M&S boss) Stuart Rose and Danny was on a table nearby,’ says a fellow guest.

‘As Danny went to the gents, she grabbed him and disappeared around a corner.

‘He seemed reluctant and embarrassed at first, but she planted a big sloppy kiss full on his lips.’

The England rugby player told Noemie he had a girlfriend and made a hasty exit to his table.
